The cat named Umbro

Lori and I have been together for almost 3 years know. She had this small black and gold cat that knew she owned the house and Lori knew she new that. The cat named Umbro was not very happy that I took her mommy away from her. Then one day when I started to come around more and The cat named Umbro excepted me to be around her and her mommy. After about a year or so she really excepted me into her life and constantly jumped on me and rubbed up on me when I was on the couch or in bed. Me and The cat named Umbro, we had out ups and downs from time to time but it never lasted long. About 2 Christmas’s ago I made a Santa Clause toy for her to play with and she loved playing with that and would stock it when ever i would throw it out for her to play. After awhile she started to slow down a little bit and not wanting to play all the time. About a year ago Lori found out that The cat named Umbro had hyper thyroid. Lori had to give The cat named Umbro Thyroid pills everyday with either her cat food or whatever she would eat. After awhile she started throwing up her pills and not wanting to take them and it became useless to give her. Since The cat named Umbro stopped taking her pills you could slowly see her shedding the weight off. After the last 6 months to a year while not taking her pills you could see he energy going and her play stopping almost in one day. Yesterday Lori sent me a text staying that The cat named Umbro was not doing good and might not last the night. Yeah that bothered me more than I really thought it would. I felt bad for Lori and The cat named Umbro because Lori was not ready to lose her baby that she had for 15 1/2 years. It was her first pet to have since it was a kitten. Lori told me about all the good times they had together and showed me a trick that her and The cat named Umbro had. When Lori would put her on one shoulder she would move over to the other shoulder and put her head on her shoulder and just go to town on the purring. She really liked being on Loris shoulder and Lori loved it when she would lay there. Today 9/27/2011 Lori had to make the big decision to put her long time loving friend and companion down. Lori and I loved you a lot Umber. R.I.P!!

Christmas / New Years and Wedding

New Years and wedding

Well
Christmas has come and gone for the 2010 year and what a year it
was. Had a good Christmas and New Years with Family and Friends. I
also had a good time with Lori’s Family and Friends for Christmas
and New Years. I got a lot really cool gift’s this year from my
Family and Lori’s Family. Lori and I got a new Pre-lit 7 1/2ft
Christmas Tree this year. We also put out our Christmas lights.

Lori and I a Fire Pit for the back yard. I hope to have that
together Wed or Thursday this week. My Aunt Kim and Uncle John got
Lori and I stuff with the Letter “M” on them and some wine stuff.
They also got us each a bag with our initials on them.

that I have been wanting. Lori’s Aunt Nelda got me a short sleeve
Polo shirt and a Fleece Vest / a lot of Ranger stuff (b.c the
Rangers beat the NYY) / $10 to Starbucks. Lori’s Aunt Roselyn and
Uncle Fred and cousins got me a short sleeve Polo shirt / Wal-mart
gift card and an Outback Gift card. Lori’s Sister got me a 4 glass
drinking set with the “A Christmas Story” them on them. I love the
movie “A Christmas Story”. Next year I am thinking about getting
the blow up Leg from the movie “A Christmas Story” and stick it
right in the front of the front yard. 🙂 For New Years: Lori and I
hung out with her sister Julie and Julie’s Friend Kyle. We went do
dinner at Shoguns (such a good place to go eat)! After dinner we
wanted to go Bowl but both bowling alies had a private party going
on and wanted $100 to even play while the party was going on. (It
did include shoes / pizza and a lane) I guess that was a good
deal… “If you didn’t have dinner yet”. So we ended up going back
over to her parents house and watched the new movie Robin Hood.
That about does the Christmas and New Years run down.

Update on
Wedding Stuff

I think Lori and
I have decided on a place for our Reception just right now we are
trying to get our # of guests down to where everyone will fit and
also I think the date we are set on will be 11/05/2011. That date
will be set I (we) hope Wed or Thursday. We are both looking
forward to our wedding that is only in about 11 months away… Man
where does the time go??

The “Question”….

Since the last post. I had been talking about saving up for a ring for Lori. Well I got it just before Thanksgiving. I was wanting to have it before the weekend before Thanksgiving. Lori and I took a weekend vacation to Austin and San Antonio. We had a great time getting away from the busy schedule up here in Denton… (i.e. Work). The only downside the that weekend was that I didn’t get to do what I wanted to do… The ring didn’t come in before we went out-of-town. So I went and got it when we got back on Sunday from Austin and San Antonio.  She did not know that I went and got it that day and came home with the ring she really wanted. Well on Tuesday 2 days before Thanksgiving I popped the “Question” to her and She said “YES”. We have been engaged for almost 1 month. We have been looking around at places to get married and have our reception. We have not yet set a permanent date yet.  But she did love the ring and here is what the ring looks like….

I will post more later down the road with and update of the wedding planning and if there has been anything new…

Me, Lori and her Family did go to Mississippi this past Thursday – Saturday for Julie’s graduation from the Air Force. She got her wings and is now a Pilot for the United States Air Force.  We are so proud of her!! She will be flying the C-17 at the Travis Air Force Base in Cali. We are already trying to figure out when we can go and visit her when she is their full time. After all her extensive training.

Life update….

Well I have not done much since the last post.

I did move in with Lori and we are all settled in and enjoying each other company. We have been very busy with all kinds of stuff. From friends weddings to visiting with each others Family. Lori’s mom and dad had there birthday’s last month and also their anniversary. My parents anniversary was this past weekend, they have been married for 32 years. Lori and I also had friends this year have babies. Every baby I have seen have been very cute, congrats to all my friends that had babies!

Will have a big life changing stuff happen soon in the next month like in November.

The Big move and more…

Well, I got someone to take over my apartment back in March and moved in with Lori. We have been having a great time since I moved in. I do the things I need to do around the house and whatever else needs to be done. I am saving up my money to get the Engagement Ring that Lori and I have found. I should have the money to buy around November. I am also taking care of other stuff that needs to be payed off that will / should be done soon…

I have also picked up another sport. Its called Disc Golf, I did not realize how fun that sport is. Just have to watch out for snakes and bee’s. My friend Jeromy, got into Poison Oak and is having a hard time getting rid of it. His wife is having a baby girl and the baby room looks wonderful! I think they did a good job on the painting and decorations! I can not wait till they have the little girl. I just love baby’s they are fun to hold and to watch while they sleep.

Apartment

last October 2009 I got an apt here in Denton. I am now looking to try and get of o my Lease with the apt. I have told the apartment complex that I am looking to leaving b.c I am trying to save up and get Lori an engagement ring. I hope to have the money saved up and ready to buy it sometime in September.  Back to the apt deal, I have had many people interested in my lease. The down side is that they are just not able pass the app process. I hope one of these days someone will pass and be able to take it over. We will see…

Starting off a new year…

The start of the year me and Jeromy got our ham License. My call sign is the Blog site name *KF5EPT*. Lori and I have been together a little over 2  1/2 years. We have big plans coming in the future. We are really looking forward to it.

Starting this year off fishing with my Kayak and going to be doing a lot of fun stuff with it this year. I hope to do a lot kayaking with Jeromy and Neo.

My best friend Jeromy and his wife Mandy are expecting there 1st baby child a baby GIRL!!! I am so excited for them and can not wait to see the little rascal!! I am going to take her fishing and spoil her like she is my own niece!!
